This is a very unusual scent, - fresh, somehow cold (pleasantly cold like a cold shower in the middle of a hot day), energizing, soapy and crispy. I just recently was given Philosophy Gingerbread Girl lotion as a gift and it smells very simular to BlV because it smells of fresh ginger and if anyone wanted to layer BLV with lotion, this would be a perfect one.

I strongly agree with you, because I purchased it 3 years ago and the performance was horrible on my dry skin, so I convinced a friend of mine to try it and he has a normal skin, once again the performance was a thumbs down. Didn't seem to blend very well but after about 30 minutes or so the harshness settles and that's when you get the whole "baby powder" thing.
