About this deal

I have *never* been able to detect any coffee in the original nor any flankers I’ve sampled, and the “orange blossom/jasmine” notes are always very much like grape kool aid/bubble gum and do not agree with me at all. Besides the added sweetness, I also perceive the sillage to be much weaker, almost like the fragrance contracted due to its sugar overload. For those seeking an extremely long-lasting fragrance that takes the signature Black Opium to the next level, YSL Beauty introduces Black Opium Eau de Parfum Extreme.

In here, so far, the coffee is still a sweetened sugary coffee, but there are hints of a normal roasted coffee in there more than the original had at least. The house of Yves Saint Laurent is synonymous with Parisian elegance and its perfumers' masterpieces are renowned. Only those who have tried, or fortunately still try a similar experience can understand it, assuming they love coffee ☕. I think this would probably suit a younger woman, i'm sure there are better coffee fragrances with less sweetness that would be more suitable for all ages.I don't detect the jasmine (especially compared to the original Black Opium), but I suspect that it and the orange blossom (which I do notice, ever so slightly) are helping to round out the other notes.

i agree with SailorV in that the "extreme" element in this perfume doesn't mean that it's a room filler or a beast mode fragrance, but more in the sense of that BO extreme is richer and deeper - especially in the dry down. For medium intensity: Spray in a y-shape across your body, starting at one shoulder and finishing at the other. And yes, it will become an intimate scent if you want it, which is good cause then you have the choice how much you want to share it.

The coffee is not sweet, the other notes are--- but the coffee doesn't feel like an overly sugared mess. This is a scent charged with limitless energy, full of boundless allure and the unique YSL edginess in abundance. Though always grateful for a flanker that bears some resemblance to the original, I was quite surprised by how extremely similar this was to Black Opium. It’s not the typical type of chocolate that most people think of tho— it smells like milo chocolate 😂 (the chocolate drink in the green can; Australians will understand what I mean Lolol). For added intensity: Apply perfume directly to pulse points and hot spots (wrist, inner elbow, and lower neck). This one is deeper and more sophisticated than the original (which can lean more youthful and playful).

And deep seductive patcouli essence energised by the adrenaline boost of a black coffee accord to create a long-lasting, addictive and unique sensory trail.Experience the Eau de Parfum Extreme, a fearless evolution of Black Opium's original captivating floral gourmand scent. Edited 5/26/23: I still can’t smell the coffee like I did the first time I tried this, but I’ve been reaching for this a lot lately. I won't be purchasing this just because I know I'm over this scent profile and still have a 3/4 bottle left of the edp black opium to last me a lifetime but it's nice to see its improved even under loreal. Not as sweet as other flankers, has a realistic coffee note in the opening, unfortunately not so much of cacao.
