However, while these earbuds definitely have some of that bulky influence, there’s something distinctly modern to their aesthetic. Although wind noise was filtered out on the iPhone, which meant that it was not affected by moderate wind, the voice quality was significantly reduced in stronger gusts. While many earbuds sound best with noise cancellation turned off, the bass is a little too thin here.You can repeat the optimization any time from the earbuds with a long press on the right touch sensor. But if the way an earbud sounds is more important than how much sound it can block out, then the ATH-TWX9 is probably the one for you because it sounds noticeably more refined than either the AirPods Pro, QuietComfort Earbuds II, or WF-1000XM4. Sony had good audio quality, however the ANC never worked because the earbuds could never get a proper seal. And that eventually leads to the question, can you use the AirPods Pro without those eartips, and if you did, what would happen?
