About this deal
Unlike previous Radiohead reissues, which were released by EMI without Radiohead's involvement and contained no new material, the band curated the OKNOTOK material themselves. Their subsequent albums have been released by XL Recordings, while EMI retained the copyright to Radiohead's back catalogue.

Shrouded in wafting guitars, swoony rhythms, and moody-blue strings, it shrugs off mosh-pit conventions for a poignant delicacy and breadth, with Yorke's cracked-throat voice the album's melancholy center. Too bad XL Records didn’t contract with a pressing plant with quality control worthy of Radiohead’s watershed work.Whether via the sprawling movements of “Paranoid Android” or claustrophobic “Karma Police,” OK Computer paints a spookily prescient picture of the coming tyranny of social media and the dual-edged sword of cyber progress.
