About this deal

When I first read about this fabulous couple and their history and present story I was overwhelmed, especially when they had their HEA. Professor Gabriel Emerson is a well known Dante specialist from Harvard who made a name for himself at the University of Toronto. This book left me wanting more and not in the I-can't-wait-for-the-next-book way but in the I-can't-believe-there-are-no-answers-way. Sylvain was building the set up for the plot, inserting a mysterious element that was very interesting to watch, everything was progressing and happening and suddenly, when I pressed next, it was over.

I have read and loved the rest of the series so I decided to go ahead and pick up my own copy since it's already out. I will not divulge any more, but promise, along with Gabriel, that this is the book we fans have all been hoping for, and I have loved spending a few days catapulted back into that world that I enjoyed so very much over half a decade ago. And if you are new to the series, you will be pleased to be able to just jump in (though at some point you will probably want to see how it all began).Hoping this isn’t the end as I would love to lose myself in Gabriel and Julianne’s story for a little longer. As they are settling in to being new parents they encounter unexpected drama, new opportunities, and academic challenges. He held in his arms a miracle – the extravagance of grace that had been bestowed on someone who was proud and sometimes angry, intemperate and addictive, lustful and profligate. Review will be up as soon as I get cleared to put it up, no spoilers of course, but it's a 5 fantastic stars!

My favourite stories are those in which a character takes a journey, either a physical journey to a new and exciting place, or a personal journey in which he or she learns something about himself/herself.When Gabriel and Julia Emerson first lay eyes on their newborn daughter, Clare, they realize life as they know it will never be the same. More into the story we get to see all the rise and falls in their life that is not helping them to have an easy life and all these brings back the previous concerns from their past. The issue that Julia has in the book with her academics, it was great to see Gabriel has grown to where he trusts in Julia and respects her and her decisions no matter how much he wants to protect her he does what is best for her. Once we're released it's all about baby, godparents, diapers, waking up in the middle of the night, family, friends, work. With the break-in of their home and dark shadows everywhere, we see Gabriel once again stop at nothing to protect what means most to him that no money could replace; his family.
