The brand that's known for its classic three-strap design has yet again proven that simple is efficient. With all footwear, I really need to crank down the tension system, whether it’s laces, straps, BOA, etc. This model has just been given a comfort upgrade, so it's got soft heel-strap padding and a new, modern sole featuring even better traction than ever before. I’m based in beautiful Pagosa Springs, Colorado at the foot of the incredibly rugged San Juan Mountains.

This sandal is the newest update to the long-standing Hurricane XLT model, and we like the added traction and strap comfort. While it does have an inclination towards watersports, we feel both prepared and stylish in the Hurricane.

The Teva Hurricane XLT 2 Sandals in Toro Multi have a quick-dry webbing made from verifiable REPREVE polyester yarn by Unifi which supports your foot and is robust. However, the water-friendly webbing and three points of adjustment allowed for a secure fit even after the Hurricane had gotten wet. If you need extra-burly support with maximum stability, the Chaco Z/1 Classic is worth investigating. The Teva Hurricane XLT 2 is a classic three-strap sandal that offers a few comfort and performance upgrades when compared to the original Hurricane. I love the super simple look of my old Teva Original Universal, and less like the look of these ones, but this version do certainly offer more support under the foot.

Not only is it stylish, but it performed well across the board and won't cut into your summer budget like some of the high-end models.The quick dry webbing features a recycled plastic construction with REPREVE polyester yarn by Unifi, while nylon shank stabilises and supports your foot on uneven terrain, these vegan sandals are completed with the Teva branding. The heel strap even adds some extra padding to make sure blisters don’t pop up, a clutch feature when water is involved. The classic Teva has been around for long enough to know that they got something right with their three-strap design.
