About this deal

Here at LandyZone we have plenty of very knowledgable members so if you have any questions about your Land Rover or just want to connect with other Landy owners, you're in the right place.

Personally I leave my brake pipe rolled, fabricate the fitment, add a brake pipe end cap to seal it then seal the pipe end with tape. Compact European Pressure Brake Bleeder, perfect for a direct fit to you MINI master cylinder to bleed the system after replacing the lines. There are 2 of these tools available, the other does SAE flares which is a different type to what the TT requires which is a DIN bubble flare. You can leave it on your hands for quite some time during a repair, but it will eventually make them red and itchy. At this point, don't feed any more pipe through, but step back from the engine and straighten the rest of the pipe out in front of the car .British made flaring tool with precision machined punch and die blocks produces an OEM specification DIN pipe flare the same as the original.

However, you will need to get all four wheels off the ground and accessible if you need to replace a rear brake pipe.

Here is the contents of the kit, there is a video on line that shows how easy it is to use, comes with full instructions. Replacing your brake pipes is not hard, but it does take some time and does require special (although cheap) tools. I would therefore recommend using a pressure bleeding system like Gunson Easee-Bleed, they're cheap, effective and far more easy to use. If you are replacing rear brake pipes I would strongly recommend that you have some spare Type 4 black screw nuts shown in the photo as these often break on removal - they are available very cheaply from your dealer. Brake fluid must be kept topped up and should be fully replaced every couple of years as it becomes corrosive over time.

Had a look at my friends car the other day, brake level light came on shortly after he had to do an emergency stop. You can use the old method of pressing the brake pedal to force fluid through, while there is a one-way valve placed over the bleed nipple to stop air being sucked back up into the lines.I too have seen them recommended but while I’ve used them on fuel pipes I wouldn’t feel comfortable using them on brake lines. Now this has to be the worst pipe to replace as it appears to run under the fuel tank to the passenger side then to the ABS module. When you remove your old brake pipes have a look at the flare on the end of them (it'll almost certainly be DIN) and only use that type of flare. Complete Accessories] Brake line pipe repair kit includes brake pipe + pipe cutter + 10* joint + pipe bender + 7* flaring tool.
