I ABSOLUTELY loved everything about these characters and if there was ever a Sheridan Anne series to devour it’s this one! I was happy to see the progression with Tanner and his anger management and learning his past and how it was all resolved in the end. We also have a selection of beers and ciders from around the world, along with a selection of spirits. And we get the whole gang who have been together through thick and think of this incredible story, from rape, to fights, to love , to bonds of family and friendship. It follows six different couples and you have to pay attention so you don't get confused about some things. But like the queen she is, Sheridan did not disappoint and addressed everything beautifully and in a satisfying way even if some of it did come to fruition a bit too easily.
I thought we finally had our chance to pick up the pieces of our shattered souls and put the worst behind us. The thing I love most about Sheridan Anne books is that just when I think it can't get any more outrageous, it does ! There tended to be butchers who specialised only in pork, making their own sausages and curing bacon. Let's just say in pure Sheridan style, there's tears, laughter, twists and everything you love about her books. Finally, as with every final book, there were a ton of loose ends that needed to be tied up and even by the halfway point I was questioning how it was gonna happen because we still had so much left! The twists this series takes—it really is a wild ride, and the ending was both a surprise and perfectly crafted. Secrets are revealed and not only what Tanner has been hiding because he was afraid Brielle would look at him differently, but also the secrets hidden by those who thought they held all the power, secrets that would ruin them, and that made me cheer, a win for the good guys and a lose for the bad.
