So, the mower is easy enough to move across lawns, even if the grass is denser, with the large wheels offering good stability and manoeuvrability.

On the contrary, as someone who has reviewed a few cordless mowers, the WG779E.2 outperforms its competitors in this department. The mower comes with two 2.0A or 4.0A batteries, and both are interchangeable with other Worx products, which is a nice bonus if you’re already invested in their power tool range.When you need a mower that’s light in weight and going to get in the smaller areas of your lawn, this may well be the best option for you. Yes it will take longer to mow the entire area, but if it fits and there’s no rush, then the WG779E.2 could be the cordless mower of choice. Furthermore, the addition of the carry handle means that moving the mower from one end of the garden to the other is effortless.

Better still, the batteries are part of the Powershare range from WORX, being interchangeable with a range of compatible cordless power tools. If you are thinking of buying other cordless garden or power tools, this is a great opportunity to save some money and extend the runtime of your various tools. There are six settings that range from 2cm to 8cm, but what is most interesting is that this adjustment can be made with a single easy to adjust lever – nothing makes a product more appealing than ease-of-use. You can sharpen the blade, unlike a plastic blade, so that you can cut effectively for a tidier finish. The excellent battery performance is a big contributor to the success of this model, even more so when you consider how much more affordable the WG779E.2 is compared to other battery operated models. I really struggled with this mower to find any downsides. The features are great and all seem to work well for a mower at this price point. The build quality cannot be faulted and it performs as it should.
