Description

The Sky-Watcher Heritage 150P has double the aperture of the AstroMaster LT 76AZ with vastly superior light-gathering and resolving power, as well as an easy-to-use tabletop Dobsonian mount, collapsible tube for portability, and quality included accessories. Reflector telescopes don’t suffer from chromatic aberration, colours appearing around an image, like some refractors.

With these eyes the Celestron PowerSeeker 76 AZ telescope provides an increase of 35x (20mm eye) and 175x (4mm ocular). ED stands for "extra-low dispersion," which refers to the composition and optical properties of the glass used for the lenses. Planetarium software package which provides easy-to-understand explanations and impressive visuals of all kinds. See the rings of Saturn, passing comets, the face of Jupiter and celestial bodies even further away. The PowerSeeker 76 comes with all glass optical components with high transmission coatings for enhanced image brightness and clarity.

Astrophotography is permitted as well, but feel free to check out /r/astrophotography for more of that.

A larger, faster telescope that uses a spherical primary mirror, such as the 130mm f/5 Celestron AstroMaster 130 EQ or a typical 76mm f/4 tabletop reflector, would suffer from a lack of sharpness and definition; however, in the case of the 76mm f/9 sphere that comes with the AstroMaster LT 76AZ, any deviation from a parabola is insignificant, and thus it offers great performance for astronomical purposes. The included 4mm eyepiece provides the normal image of the telescope (inverted as it is natural in an astrological-astron monitoring). Replacing the eyepieces will certainly improve the view and you could always retain them if you upgrade in the future. The telescope is very good; on the first outing my 10 year old son identified Jupiter, and it was quite amazing actually seeing the bands around it. Pluto is similarly out of reach without a vastly larger instrument than the LT 76AZ on account of its dimness. You can see the phases of Venus and Mercury – though the latter can prove challenging – as well as the polar ice caps and possibly a couple of dark markings on Mars when the planet reaches its closest distance to Earth.

This telescope comes with two eyepieces, one with 35 times magnification and one with 175 times magnification.not happy with it at all, and worst of all, my wifes really disappointed after being really excited about getting her own scope. I have had a look at the stickied post and will watch the videos accompanying this when I get a bit more time, but I just came here for some advice, as I've just bought a Celestron PowerSeeker 76AZ from a friend who intended to use it and never did in the end. Additional Eyepieces – Eyepieces serve as our arsenal, offering different magnifications for celestial objects.
