Both products were applied to new clean plastics cups then filled with tap water half way. They were then both covered by plastic to make sure the cups were sealed. CT1 sealant clear has turned white above and below the water line whereas Adiseal ultra clear sealant has remained clear. After being submerged in the same water for 24 days, CT1 sealant has discoloured below the water line due to mould growth whereas Adiseal sealant has remained mould free.

Tip: To store Adiseal once opened, leave about 1cm worth of product out of the nozzle and store the tube upright in a cool dry place. Adiseal requires moisture for it to cure. The exposed part out of the nozzle will cure creating a cap. To re-use Adiseal, pull the cured part out or cut the nozzle until the uncured part is reached. UV resistant and Scientifically proven to have excellent colour retention – white stays white and clear stays clear Although CT1 adhesive was not tested by Ultimate Handyman in the above adhesive strength test, he did test the old formula of both CT1 adhesive and Adiseal adhesive in a previous adhesive strength. In that test, the old formula of Adiseal adhesive was shown to be stronger than the old formula of CT1 adhesive. Having used the two most expensive brands on numerous occasions, I’ll be trying out the others, especially the Adiseal.
