Zaynab Ansari serves as an adjunct instructor at Boston Islamic Seminary and a full-time instructor at Tayseer Seminary, where she teaches classes on Islamic law, Qur’anic studies, Prophetic biography, American Muslim history, and women in Islam. She also serves on the boards of Tayseer Foundation and the Muslim Community of Knoxville. Dr. Haifaa Younis, MD practices Obstetrics & Gynecology in Saint Louis, MO. She is associated with Saint Luke’s Des Peres Hospital & St. Luke’s Hospital. She also belongs to the American Board of Gynecology and Obstetrics.

Dr. Haifaa Younis is an American Board Certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist with roots from Iraq. Her pursuit of Islamic knowledge initiated when she began to study with various Islamic scholars from across the United States while she simultaneously attended individual courses and lectures on subjects including Aqeeda, Fiqh, usual Fiqh, Hadeeth, and Tazkiyah (purification of the soul). From the United States, she moved to Saudi Arabia where she graduated from the Mecca Institute of Islamic Studies (Jeddah, Saudi Arabia) and Al-Huda Qur’an Memorization School (Jeddah, Saudi Arabia) where she completed the memorization of the Qur’an. Dr. Haifaa also gives several free online lectures in English and Arabic that you can view on platforms, including Muslim Central. We hope to see you in class soon InshaAllah! Since 2013, women like you have joined us in our “for women, by women” courses, which all have a strong focus on Tazkiyah. In 2020 she developed a mentorship program for sisters called The Strong Believer, where she coaches Muslim women on how to step up without burning out. Dr. Zainab Alwani is the Founding Director and the first Associate Professor of Islamic Studies at Howard University School of Divinity (HUSD). She is also the chair of the Master of Arts (Religious Studies) program at HUSD. Dr. Alwani received her Ph.D. in Islamic Sciences and Islamic Jurisprudence from the International Islamic University in Malaysia. Her Ph.D. dissertation focused on the implementation of the higher aims of Islamic law (Maqāṣid al Shariah) within the domain of the American Muslim family. She has authored and co-authored a wide variety of publications ranging from books, textbooks and book chapters, to scholarly articles. She is particularly interested in deriving methodologies for approaching the Qur’an, Sunna and Islamic jurisprudence in the area of women and family relations.She holds the CA State Medical License and also holds a MO Medical License with a validity period from 1997 to 2023. Ustadha Aisha is the Academics Head for Qabeelah Ittihaad, which is the Michigan chapter of AlMaghrib, where she co-hosts their weekly online halaqa.And she is a certified speaker with ING MidWestwhere she delivers educational presentations about Islam and Muslims to schools, colleges, and other community organizations. Ustadha Aisha Arshad is a motivational speaker for American Muslims. Her most popular talk, “How to Be Unapologetically Muslim While Living Your Best Life”, has been well-received at several masjids and MSAs including Cornell, IAGD, MCWS Youth, the University of Michigan Dearborn, the Islamic Foundation of Lincoln, and more. In 2016 she was part of the research team at ISPU on the Muslims for American Progress(MAP) study, where she interviewed over 40 Muslims in Michigan on their contributions to American society.
