Content that this is a translation I can probably trust I read a few more passages and found them to be readable, understandable and accurate. This is a bigger Bible but I think it's worth it to get one with more notes, especially if you are interested in studying the Bible.

There are so many notes and in such a wide variety I would recommend any new reader of the Life Application Study Bible at least look over the 10-page introduction at the front of the Bible. The Bible is arranged in 10 chronological sections that help the reader to see how the various pieces of the Bible fit together. I won't say any more about the extensive features of this Bible because I don't want to be a spoiler of a book which is one to be explored.It states the purpose of this particular study Bible and explains it’s various types of study helps. Many bibles are translated word for word, which sometimes we just don't get what the chapter means because some of the words used, or how the sentences are phrased, don't sound like what we hear and speak like nowadays. We always recommend that readers remember to take the Biblical text over anything found within notes. Some of the updates are just superficial, adding a second color and changing the layout of some of the information. I bought this particular translation of God's word as a gift for some-one who is not yet a committed Christian, but who is interested in finding out the truth.
