Then the other negative is this fraying that’s happening in the one spot on the upper. The tongue is gusseted so it sits over that wear area and more than likely would keep stuff from falling into it. Terrain: The all-rounder trail shoe for a mixture of walking and running on grass and light trails with a GORE-TEX upper to keep your feet dry. Katherine Takai is a consultant and endurance sport enthusiast in constant pursuit of new running adventures and the optimal shoes to take her there. Even in the wettest conditions, you’ll stay dry and comfortable in the incredibly light and agile Peregrine 12 GTX®. With better traction and waterproof GORE-TEX® protection, nothing gets between you and the trail ahead. Lighter, faster, and more comfortable than ever, your trail run just got exponentially more fun. Terrain: The protective shoe for the same terrain as the Endorphin Trail but with a more protective upper suited to dusty paths and gravel.

The firm ride is stable and feels at home during fast trail runs. Both the forefoot and heel are more than 20 mm tall, so there’s ample cushioning for on-trail comfort. The newly-introduced Pwrrun+ insole also enhances the step-in cushioning. Another thing I’ll comment on is the width of the toebox. For a Peregrine, there’s a fair amount of room for your toes to wiggle. And you can see it’s a little blunter-looking. There’s some room for your toes to move and really nothing getting in the way. No material, no weird things. Just mesh that lets your toes do what they need to do. The Saucony Peregrine 12’s fit feels a lot like some of recent Asics running shoes – snug in the forefoot, but long in the front. And yet, we recommend buying true-to-size. For those who see the horizon and dare to explore further, meet the Saucony Xodus Ultra. Built for long trails, this shoe is made to go the distance. The Peregrine 12 felt great during short to mid-distances, which I consider under 10 miles and under two hours. During longer efforts, my feet began to feel fatigued and uncomfortable.

Built using softer cushioning and grippy tread, the Saucony Ride 15 TR road to trail shoe has more foam, a durable feel, and everything you need to go further. The Endorphin shoes feature revolutionary SPEEDROLL technology, which aims to propel you forward effortlessly towards that athletic edge, so you can run faster and not harder. Delivering an off-road running experience like no other. This lightweight, yet maximally cushioned, shoe is designed to carry you up, down, and over even the gnarliest of trails, taking speed to a whole new height. The shoe is breathable and hugs the foot really well. One thing that I did notice over longer distances, however, was the overlay across the toe box for protection would often push against my toenails. Maybe with a bit more breaking in it might improve, but it proved annoying on my runs. Even a heel tab

One, this is what’s used in a lot of their road shoes, this PWRRUN+. It’s a rebound-y, cushiony type of foam. Without doing an entire midsole in it, they use this, so it adds a little extra cushion. It adds a little extra bounce. If you need to exchange an item follow the steps below to guarantee a fast turnaround on your request:
