Description

Definitely a worthwhile investment if you're looking for a quality pressing of Dark Side of the Moon.

Some copies came with a small round sticker on the front cover stating "Pink Floyd The Dark Side of the Moon" (confirmed for stampers GL/MO).On September 11, 2020 the MR first reached the threshold of 1000 different versions and is currently hovering around that number, making it one of the most populated MRs in the entire database. It is safe to say that all printing and inserts were made in the UK, but as for the record itself, there is no consensus. K. Harvest issue ( The Dark Side Of The Moon), identifiable with a solid blue prism on the labels instead of the shaded triangle used on most other versions. I also have the 2016 cuts of WYWH and had ANIMALS, before I replaced it with the “2018” remix (which is the best version of ANIMALS to my ears due to the remix).

Group Poster: A six-pane group shot poster in landscape style with "SHVL 804" in the bottom right corner.Wish there was a little less brightness in the guitars and more oomph in Mason’s drums (on side 1, side 2 drums sound better to me).

Though credited for the entire album, Barry St John, Doris Troy, Leslie Duncan, and Liza Strike perform backing vocals only on tracks A4, B2, B4, and B5. because too much gain like over 10-12kHZ, one some tracks percussions are too sharp to be natural plus vinyl quality is medicore. The mix doesn't sound very different from the 2016 press, but the record itself is very high quality. It seems like worn mothers were used to satisfy demand which resulted in some copies having a poor sounding, muddy sound stage.Seems like they shipped over everything (labels, covers, inners, posters and stickers) from the UK initial press. Copies of the Dark Side of the Moon LP with solid blue triangle labels without any stamper or mother numbers in the matrix are not U. OMG I never heard certain guitar parts before and subtles parts are well defined in Quad compared to normal stereo. I feel so strongly about this record that I have considered storing it in a fireproof safe so I don't risk losing it.

It’s not because of the additional instrument overdubs, but rather how OPEN the soundstage is on this pressing.I have had the first press UK, 2nd pressing Uk, 1st press US, 1st press Japan, 2nd pressing Japan, and first pressing Germany and this pressing beats them all. The 2016 reissue sounds terrific and the vinyl is very quiet, and the early Japanese pressing being fully analog definitely brings out more of the mid range, warmth, and dynamics that the recording has to offer. Today i received this exact copy with the variant 1, A-3/B-3 ,Open stage, the drums rock the place,so much dynamic range,And it happens that i have a second US press(Wlly on runouts) which is not bad but it lacks power and dynamics in pieces such as ''a great gig in the sky'',''money'' its a ''bassy'' mastering i would say,not bad to have but it costs over 50 euros in Nm condition which i find exaggerated.
