Similar core to YSL La Collections Jazz, then of course with the added sweet fruitiness and vanilla. puts the sacred monster on its feet, now, difficult to find, because it is already part of the book of legends and perfume myths. Be dazzled by the unique composition of the Black Opium fragrance or treat your face with products from the Touche Éclat collection. Upon spraying you can definitely smell a certain old school vibe, hinting that the scent was originally released almost 30 years ago.

For those who say this is exclusively for the older chap: the combination of sweet, spicy, fresh notes is straight from the f* boi playbook. This is a beast of fragrance with so much depth and complexity and its just addictive and divine to smell. For my taste, the present formulation is amazing: more freshness on the opening, but retaining the oriental character and uniqueness of his combination of sweet warmth and soapiness/cleanness of the scent . I was very fortunate to receive a sample of this by a fellow user and it is everything I had hoped for and more. Despite having a pretty rough opening, the dry down with the bourbon vanilla is pure class and probably one of its kinds for a designer fragrance.Cavallier manages to create a perfume in which amber, vanilla, and sweet resins intertwine perfectly with the spicy, astringent and fruity area of it.

Beautiful composition, I always wanted the vintage EDP but never found it, so this new formulation will suffice.I'm not a fan of powdery fragrances as I tend to find them very cloying, with that said, the powdery vibe in OpH is well done. I still remember the smell of it even tho the formula has changed and it's hard or impossible to get it these days. I love the way the blackcurrant and star anise play off each other, I love the spiciness of it, I love the warm vanilla and I even like that slightly medicinal quality that it has which can be offputting to some I'm sure. Which says it was manufactured in October 2023, so has it now been bought back or is this the final batch? Owning the EDT, I can not see for the life of me how anyone could wear an even more concentrated EDP of this sillage/projection beast better known as Opium, because folks let me tell you.

I am a big fan of Amber Spicy fragrances where the spices are primarily of the sweet variety (I don't use the typical Fragrantica classifications of "fresh spicy", "warm spicy", etc. Whenever he wants to remember his adventures, he sits in the his living room on a leather chair and spritz OPIUM and smile. The warm, intense, rich, and luxurious character makes YSL Opium Pour Homme my favorite for a night out.

For me, YSL Opium Homme is the perfume that highlighted the best note of bourbon vanilla, and the combination with blackcurrants makes it particularly syrupy, sweet and slightly aromatic. I can never pull this off unless I'm wearing a suit or am going out at night, and even then, I have to limit myself to one or two sprays max so I don't offend anyone with it's harsh, distinct smell. It is definitely designed to be a long lasting fragrance with a bit more depth, as it takes the same sort of journey as the EDT described above but over a longer period.
