I've just seen a related thread where this was said (by someone who bought a new hard drive and installed it, as is, in the pvr): I did open up the 9150 to see and couldn't find a battery. I suspect scheduling is all in non volatile ram as mentioned above, which makes fixing this pretty much a no go. You don't really want a 7200rpm or faster drive as they'll generate more heat and be louder. 5400 or 5900'ish is more than fast enough, go for one with as much cache as possible, which uses as little power as possible and has the longest warranty at the cheapest price. Not sure on lights but basically, green light is on red is off and red light and green light at the same time means it's recording something. I think. Has something changed? For me, missing the beginning of programs is far less frequent than it used to be. The current series of Masterchef for example always starts recording correctly at the BBC2 logo whereas the previous series always seemed to start half way through the introduction of the contestants. Does anyone have any similar experiences or thoughts on this before I start taking it apart looking for batteries?Auto-tuning works well and had no problem finding all the available channels and radio stations. The 8-day programme guide is core to the functioning of the PVR and is populated with information being broadcast, although it seems to go through this process each time it starts, so you don’t have instant access to the full EPG, which can be a pain and slow you down if you want to set-up a recording as you fly out of the door. Credit Card & Loans Eligibility Calculator Resolving these issues has been a priority for our technical team who have been working diligently on a fix, but unfortunately, due to the complex nature of the issues, it has taken much longer than we had hoped to develop new software to sort out the PVR issues.

Beauty Advent calendars are significantly pricier than chocolate ones, but they've become increasingly popular in the last few years as a way of bagging beauty products at a fraction of the normal cost. They often sell out early, but can also be heavily discounted later if they don't, so here's a round-up of some of the best I’ve seen. Superdrug adds new 'VIP Rewards' offers to its existing loyalty scheme – here's what you need to know Software updates for the PVR-9150T are subject to testing by the Digital Television Group (DTG), which is taklng place on June 11. Humax will give details of the release date for the PVR-9150T fix in due course. If you're a regular Superdrug shopper, you can now earn more freebies and discounts under its Health & Beautycard loyalty scheme, as the retailer has launched new 'VIP Rewards' as part of it.Also, do I simply remove, reformat and replace the drive, power up, reset to factory settings and go from there or do I somehow need to restore some software? E.g. where is the Loader stored? If on the disk, how do I restore it? Given that there is a hard limit of 511 recordings , can someone recommend what the best replacement hard drive would be? I believe it needs to also be CE standard.

As part of the upgrade, the electronic programme guide (EPG) will now load in seconds rather than minutes. I live in N.Wales which is undergoing transmission problems, but this has been occuring for days now.The main frustrations for me are the incredibly slow EPG. It takes ages to populate. I had a TVonics PVR previously and that cached the EPG while turned off which the 9150 doesn't. Therefore the EPG on the TVonics was there straight away. Even my TV manages to remember the EPG when I turn it off and has it instantly visible when I need it.

The installation process isquite straightforward but ratherslow. The PVR searches out available stations before allowing you to delete those that hold no interest -- and you'll probably find there's quite a few of those on Freeview.OK, my Humax is still hopping and skipping so I thought I'd try a full format. I'm thinking of this adapter, is it OK? Now my 9150T is working like a goodun can I just remove the 160gig hard drive and replace it with a 500gig sarta drive and just format it, at the moment the hard drive is empty it would be a great time to make it better Naturally, you can view your recordings on time delay, perhaps to skip over the ads or finish the washing up. Unusually, the PVR-9150T sports an ad-skip button that jumps forward in your recordings at the touch of a button. The leap is adjustable between 15, 30, 60 or 120 seconds. There's also a bookmarking feature, enabling you to rejoin a recording you failed to finish in a previous sitting. You can also PiP a second source, to keep an eye on a channel you're waiting to view.
