By the way my favorite candidate was CIA agent! When I’m reading his parts, I laughed too hard and fell down the couch. It was HILARIOUS! My only complain with the book was how, almost, static it was. There wasn't much other than the main romance happening. So when you are dealing with a slow burn romance where the two characters are struggling with their feelings and issues, it gets a little hard to get through when there isn't anything else substansial happening.

I will be cautious about a person who tells me all about his/her inner world, including past dating experiences and therapy, on the first date (i.e., a person with poor boundaries). I found Liam and Daisy’s story more emotional, genuine, intense. They really deal with burdens, dysfunctional family issues, abuse, insecurities. Both of them learn their mistakes and changed themselves. Only thing didn’t change is the pure love they feel for each other which makes this book one of my favorite readings! Daisy and Liam knew each other as kids; he was her brother’s best friend growing up. One day, he vanished, and they didn’t see each other again until almost 10 years later. Further, how in the world can we be promised the “brother’s best friend” trope without. the. brother. Sending Sanjay away for 95% of the book was a wild decision by the author. The tension is supposed to be created by the forbidden nature of the brother not wanting his best friend to date his sister. We were never shown one iota of Sanjay’s character; it was all told to us. All in all, The Dating Plan is a cute and fun read that will distract you from reality for a little while. Predictable at times but perfect for those who may be looking for something light to read!In any event, it was all very disappointing. When she and Orson had been together, he had been an efficient, no-nonsense lover, expressing the satisfactory outcome of their coupling with a whoosh of air followed by glass of Rioja and a deep dive into Aristotle's science of logic envisioned through the syllogism. There had been no moans or panting, no bras falling on the filthy tiles (thank God!), and no automatic toilets flushing a symphony of germs into the air. It was definitely worth the wait to see the chemistry build between these characters! I loved Daisy’s family and her well meaning yet obtrusive Aunties. This was just so much FUN! I love books where I get to learn a little more about a different culture and this book had a lot of the eastern Indian culture thrown into it. There were also a lot of amazing characters! Layla was so smart, strong, and sassy, I just love the girl! Her cousin Daisy stole the show whenever she was in the story (and I’m hoping there’s a future book involving her). Sam, He really was a good guy deep down, it just took a while for him to grow on me. There were lots of laugh out loud moments as Layla was navigating the dates with her potential husbands. There also was a lot of steam, so if that’s not your jam you can maybe skim those parts. An entertaining can’t miss romcom guaranteed to make you laugh, smile, and swoon. Liam needs to find a wife. His grandfather’s will states that he can inherit the family distillery if he is married before his next birthday and remains married for one year. Only problem is Liam doesn’t even have a girlfriend at the moment, and his birthday is only months away.

Now - I will say that the hero doesn’t code this behaviour as sexual harassment but I definitely read it that way anyways - and I would consider anyone who spills a drink on someone and relates that to their genitalia crossing the line into harassment. Daisy! I was looking for you." Salena Auntie, her father's sister, ambushed her only a few steps from the door. I will be cautious about a person who seems self-centered—more interested in himself/herself than anything else (including our relationship). The Dating Plan is a fake dating, friends/enemies/friends to lovers romance story between Daisy Patel and Liam Murphy. Growing up, Liam was best friends with Daisy’s brother and over at their house all the time. Daisy was entirely in love with him, until he stood her up for her prom and disappeared for eight years. When Liam bumps into Daisy all these years later, he realizes she might be the perfect girl to help him get his inheritance. The only catch? They need to get married. Outrageously funny, meltingly hot and tender, and wrapped up in heartwarming community, this book will warm you in the best ways. Daisy and Liam are just the kind of sexy joyful magic we need in the world right now.”— Sonali Dev, author of Recipe for Persuasion a sweet + sexy adult romance with a classic fake dating trope that leads to adorable and emotional moments; cliché at places but that doesn't mean one can't enjoy — also, love the desi food references. rtc. I am so infatuated with love stories that involve people having a friendship or knowing each other from grade school. There is so much history and understanding between the main character Daisy Patel and her high school crush Liam Murphy, who is also her brother Sanjay’s old best friend. Although a story like this is unlikely to ever happen in real life, many of the events that took place in the beginning were surprisingly realistic (for me anyways). I like that Daisy and Liam get to know each other again and open up about things from the past, contributing to their commitment issues.
