There is no power at all in the car when driven as you would expect that to be the case I have, I have replaced the burst dpf pipe just awaiting a new turbo intercooler pipe from vauxhall but now the car won't start up and when it does it just cuts out. Autumn Statement: State pension confirmed to rise by 8.5% from April 2024 – while some benefits will go up by 6.7% Martin Lewis: What the Autumn Statement means for you – including wages, benefits, pensions, ISAs, housing, national insurance and more

Loss of power on holiday showed MAS fault, this has been changed and then I found a split intercooler hose which has been sealed and covered with tape. Now after all the codes were cleared it's now showing DPF permanent fault. Because the intercooler is located between the turbos, leaks from this part of your vehicle, when worn out and have holes on it will end up in the intercooler because there is no place else to go.Your engine will drop in power, and fuel consumption may increase. Other problems like unusual smoke from your vehicle’s exhaust system. Autumn Statement: Workers to pay less in national insurance – but rate cuts don't offset the freezing of personal tax thresholds As I got home to look at the car I did notice the turbo intercooler pipe had come loose and the clip at the top had snapped. Further to my findings i seen further down into the engine a pipe had burst from what I can tell to be the dpf. Seal one part of the unit to prevent acetone from running out. Place the oil pan under your intercooler piping to collect oil that might drip out. The intercooler has two pipes connected to your engine. There is really no risk driving with a broken intercooler or little oil in intercooler pipe Duramax, but it is preferable to fix it on a safer side if the intercooler is broken.

I've had no indication on the dash to say it's the DPF and I'm led to believe this is what the car does to tell you.

Vauxhall Insignia 2.0 CDTi Turbo Intercooler Hose

Martin Lewis: What the Autumn Statement means for you – including wages, benefits, pensions, ISAs, national insurance and more The responsibility of your intercooler is to reduce the temperature of the compressed air from the supercharger or turbocharger. While cooling, that air increases the air density transferred to your engine. There will not be a supply of air in the optimal pressure, which will affect the engine’s air-fuel proportion. This might either lead to your engine running rich or lean.

I tried taking the car for a drive after the hose was bodged up and the mas was changed and it seems to be going slower. I'm just going to have to wait until Wednesday until the dpf and new hose arrive so I can do a forced regen and try and clear everything. The car would not go over 40 mph on the motorway and ended up being dangerous, driving on the hard shoulder.you say the car will not start ,have you tried starting it with the replaced DPF pressure pipe disconnected.? I've been getting P0101 maf sensor errors (high) but I just noticed my intercooler pipe has broken. I guess that error makes sense as more air will be following past the maf as it's losing some from this split. The pipe connects to the hard plastic elbow that connects to the intercooler, the wider end of the new pipe connects to the elbow. My local garage is booked up until Feb, and I work from home due to covid. I'm happy to leave it in the drive until they can do it, but he suggested that it isn't even driven to the garage (5 mins away) in case it damages the intercooler. Have i messed up revving it?
