LEGO made a really weird decision here – this slot should’ve been given to Granny, and Granny should’ve come with a small custom-moulded bird accessory for Tweety. This giant monstrosity just doesn’t work for me. What do you think of LEGO Looney Tunes? Let me know which characters you’re most looking forward to in the comments! Frequently Asked Questions

There are certainly more obscure minifigures in this series, and other characters who have required as much artistic interpretation to enter LEGO form, but if there’s one in the LEGO Looney Tunes Collectible Minifigures line-up that perhaps is unnecessary, it is that of Tweety.

What’s in the bag? 1 of 12 unique, buildable characters to discover, plus 1 or more accessories. A perfect addition to any LEGO® collection to inspire new play. LEGO Looney Tunes Minifigures will be officially released on 26 April 2021, but depending on where you live, some stores have already started selling them. How are LEGO Minifigures made? Exclusive LEGO Minifigure Series 23 reveal! - LEGO® CON 2022. 14 July 2022 – via YouTube. In a similar fashion to the two Simpsons and Disney series, the Looney Tunes characters all use unique head moulds to portray the various iconic characters. In fact, every single character uses a new piece, combined with the standard Minifigure body and other cosmetic accessory pieces to achieve their required look. They also feature classic accessories closely connected to most characters’ first or most prominent appearances.

The choice to do a Looney Tunes minifigures series is quite an interesting one by LEGO, as these characters aren’t the household names that they used to be, but with a new Space Jam movie and rebooted animated series, perhaps it’s time for Bugs Bunny and gang to reclaim the limelight. Her choice of accessory – an orange sphere is also a little disappointing, as I’d have liked a proper basketball accessory, with lines printed on it for added realism. That said, the highlight for me and what is bound to make Speedy Gonzales a really popular character is the cheese slopes, which have printed cheese slopes on them. This is probably one of the characters who translates into Minifigure form, less favourably. This is partly due to the scale compared to other characters. The use of classic short legs helps a little but the character’s original appearance is hard to achieve with a classic torso. It would have been much preferred to include Tweety as a creature element included with Sylvester. But should main characters be relegated to a mere accessory? Accessory: Mallet LEGO® Minifigures characters will appeal to any boy or girl aged 5 and up, sparking their imagination and helping them develop creativity and confidence through individual play or with friends.

Each character had unique moulds, and the printing was laser sharp, and I appreciate the lengths LEGO has gone to capture the appearances of these iconic characters. As the lead star of Looney Tunes, LEGO Bugs Bunny had to be done right so we could accept LEGO Looney Tunes as a credible Collectible Minifigures series. Thankfully, that’s very much the case, and just as thankfully, those ears should make him very easy to feel out in the blind bags… Farshtey, Gregory; Lipkowitz, Daniel; Hugo, Simon (1 October 2020). LEGO® Minifigure A Visual History New Edition. Dorling Kindersley Limited. p.223. ISBN 978-0-241-50202-0. Although The Tasmanian Devil has been a part of Looney Tunes since the 1950s, he really rose to prominence during the 1990s, gaining popularity as one of the show’s more alternative characters. Embracing a more animalistic approach to life, Taz is a short-tempered, wild character with carnivorous tendencies. Slow of mind but fast enough to spin like a vortex, the Tasmanian Devil generally communicates only in grunts and growls, but can bite through almost anything. There is one thing known to calm Taz – music of almost any kind (except the bagpipes). LEGO have done an exceptional job here again with the printing and moulding, capturing the Tasmanian Devil’s massive mouth lined with sharp teeth. How to find one: Try feeling for Speedy’s large hat, which has a very wide brim that’s sunken in. You can also feel for the plethora of cheese slopes but be careful not to confuse it with Wile E Coyote. They got every detail right from his bright green roman helmet, complete with a yellow “broom plume”, to his lime gree blaster and even his skirt.
