Had a delivery of new electronics for mine in the form of the tried and tested HobbyWing 1080 ESC and a Holmes Hobbies Torque Master Expert 550 21t motor which I can't wait to try out on the trails. All in all it was an absolute blast and I don't think there's a model out there that is so well suited for a trail run in mine and the boys opinion. Of course we still have plans for further mods and the main points of focus will be some forward weight on the Defender in the form of brass portal covers and such. With the Bronco it'll be weight low down on all four corners and a smaller battery to mount up front as this is an option out the box ?? Although both the TRX4's have been gathering dust of late while I spend all my spare time decorating the new house I have been doing some tinkering in the evenings with both of our defenders ?

The TRX-4 Scale and Trail Crawler is equipped right out of the box with Traxxas game-changing portal axle set. I might try a set of Louise RC Champs on the boys rig when we take them out properly next weekend as i was so impressed with them when testing the Carisma. Just hope the foams will be able to take the weight of his rig, as the extra height might help get his approach angle nearer to where they we're before we added a winch to his bumper. Not an awful lot to report on the TRX4's as life has been getting in the way of taking these out for a proper run with any RC's for too long now! Still though we gave them their first little maiden run in our new garden 😊 The jury is still out on whether it gets hung up more than before but they we're cheap enough for me to give them a go and make my mind up after a few more runs. They do look nice in flex pictures too ? The keen eyed amongst you might have also noticed he now has some lights fitted too, these are the Traxxas light bar and front and rear lights. They aren't cheap but I can't fault the quality of them and the install is seamless which is a big plus.TRX-4M comes with a full-size TQ transmitter for all-day comfort, reliability, and precise long-range control. Here's a couple of pictures just to prove it did have a shell and show how good the condition is... TRX-4M provides all the fun and versatility of a compact crawler without any of the limitations. TRX-4M is larger and yet more maneuverable than 1/24 scale vehicles with its tighter turning radius. TRX-4M’s tires and superior ground clearance open the door for tough off-road terrain and big challenges. I then set about fitting some skid plates on my Bronco. The boys defender came with some when I bought it and they certainly prevent the underside of the car getting all scratched up.

We swapped cars and the Honcho instantly feels invincible and manages the diagonal climbs better, no denying its more capable in this environment. So happy with how the Honcho is setup now and it looks the business in my opinion now ? I’ll continue to elaborate on my opinions and my experiences as I spend more time with the rig and capture more photos, but I do want to mention a few other key points that won me over. TRX-4M’s larger 1/18 size puts more rubber to the ground for exceptional off-road performance. Detailed wheels and tires are sized just right to carry TRX-4M up and over real-world obstacles with a stunning scale appearance.
