In a bathroom with no windows, use a pea size dab of toothpaste when I brush (Sensodyn), and no cleaning products what-so-ever EVER used on my toothbrush. Therefore if you are on a budget, the 1100 proves itself to be best value. Over 3 years, however, the premium for the 4100 isn’t that significant. When in the app, if the brush connects (but does not transfer data) are there any updates for the brush handle itself showing within the settings? Reply Due to the tuning of the 4100’s motor, its high intensity setting is more powerful than that of the 1-3000 Series. This is to confirm that the charger has detected the handle and is beginning to charge the brush handle.

The differences between each model relate more to everyday use and helping you to get the best from your oral care routine. Perhaps you can even us it despite the blinking lights and bleeping? If you shut the door on a bathroom it might not be an issue, if it is actually charging.Expect to benefit from even more features and functions from DiamondClean than you get with Perfect Clean. More ‘bells and whistle’ if you like. Perhaps this an obvious question to start with, but have you tried charging/using the charger in another location just to see if it does charge correctly? Reply

I don’t have the data to specify exactly, but, in my opinion, the low setting of the 4100 feels more like the high setting on the 1100, 2100 and 3100. The most intriguing is the fact that if I push removabke head firmly to the metal shaft of the handle it will work, but once released, it stops vibrating. It is like head is not sitting on the shaft deep enough. But I put it there all the way. Reply Not sure what might have caused it Alex. Get in touch with Sonicare, as if it is within its warranty periods, they should be able to repair it for you. ReplyAlthough all 4 models have 1 cleaning mode, known as clean, the 2100, 3100 and 4100 do offer different brushing intensities though. Whilst technically these have been designed with slightly different goals in mind, they all do a good job of cleaning the teeth and removing plaque. Hi! Thank you for this informative article! My Sonicare 4100 is completely dead, and when I place it on the charger, the indicator light blinks rapidly, and the toothbrush doesn’t charge. Any ideas what this means? Thanks! Reply There isn’t a significant difference in the price of these ranges, but there is a slight cost saving with the 4000 series in most instances. Sonicare Optimal Clean vs ProtectiveClean I have a sonicare HX8910 and the quadpacer is not working I tried holding power button off charger for five seconds no beeps. Then tried holding intensity selector for the 5 seconds still no change or beeps. Any ideas? Reply

All three intensity lights and the clean light blink when the toothbrush is on the charger. They turn off when I remove the handle from the charger, but the brush doesn’t turn on. The green battery light does not turn on in any situation. The charger works fine with the second toothbrush. Reply Any physical damage to the handle will likely increase the likelihood of any water having impacted the internal electronics. The Easystart feature gently increases power over the first 14 brushings to ease into the Sonicare brushing experience. If Easystart is activated, your brush may not seem to be as powerful as expected. With both Oral B and Sonicare featuring a range of powerful features, there’s no one outright winner. This means that it’s all down to personal preference and your own dental needs. Both brands feature electric toothbrushes with built in timers, rhythmic vibrations and sleek designs. Do you happen to know the model number (HX????) that was printed on the base of your original, now faulty brush? What is on the base of this one you have now?

Both of these brushes offer the latest in features and connectivity from each brand. They also have a pretty high asking price but promise an unprecedented level of personalized cleaning. So, how do they compare? Design Hi Terri. Do you mean you can’t remove the brush head from the handle? Presumably, you have tried pulling it off. With few exceptions most just need pulling, no twisting etc. Meanwhile, if a pearly white smile is what you are after, then look no further than the Sonicare DiamondClean Smart 9500 electric toothbrush. This product is designed to deliver that desirable white smile without stripping the teeth of its natural enamel. The Sonicare ProtectiveClean 4100 is also an excellent option if you're in that transition between going from a manual to electric toothbrush, as it features a beginner’s program. Oral B vs Sonicare: Verdict

However, it really is the little things we love about the Sonicare DiamondClean Smart 9500, such as the fact that you'll be reminded to replace your brush head when it's no longer performing. Another clever feature is that the toothbrush alerts you if you are pressing too hard. The Sonicare DiamondClean Smart 9500 also features: I have just replaced the brush since the head replacement reminder is always slowly blinking amber. But after I replace the head, it still doing so Reply
