After moving in with her sister Mandy and her family, Kayleigh is now travelling to work on her own by bus and train, but cannot resist temptation and repeatedly calls John. Eventually, after many phone calls between them, John secretly gives Kayleigh the directions to his car and the pair are reunited. After a bout of road rage, a video is produced of John verbally abusing and threatening a cyclist which goes viral, much to the amusement of Kayleigh. It is raining after work so John offers her a lift home, where he meets and bonds with her brother in law Steve ( Guy Garvey) who is obsessed with bikes, and tells Kayleigh he will keep giving her lifts to work every morning even though it will take him an extra 45 minutes to do so.
