Oh Joel and Callie 💕 meet them, love them and want to be besties with them. This book oozes love. Self-sacrificing love, making the hardest decisions to protect the ones you love. Since he was a child he's been haunted by dreams about the people he loves. Visions of what's going to happen - the good and the bad. And the only way to prevent them is to never let anyone close to him again. He dreams about promotions, pregnancies, haircuts, grocery shopping, home routines, lunches, dinners, sports, etc, etc... Such a great premise for a book- nothing perhaps new but told so well that it feels real from the outset.

A truly beautiful love story that will make you weep. All the stars for this book that will hit you right in the feels and force you to become emotionally invested.

Both Callie and Joel are likable characters and it does raise thought provoking questions. Would you want to know when your death will occur if you could or not? Steve, Joel’s friend is also a lovely character as are a couple of the other secondary characters.

The Sight of You is listed as book one in The Sight of You series (listed as two books). However there is no cliffhanger. And the story ends with a complete ending. With such a depth to Joel and his love for Callie he lives his life with realism and sacrifices that Im not sure I could make. Miller paints big emotions with nuance and subtlety, exploring complex family dynamics, grief, and anxiety with expert skill that lends realism to her tale, despite its supernatural conceit. If you want a book that will only make you feel happy then this book is not for you. But if you want something that will make you think and feel then this is your book. The premise of this book was incredible.
