The goalkeeper starts with the ball inside the 6-yard box. All the extra soccer balls should be kept inside the goalkeeper’s goal.

The across the middle drill will improve an outfielder’s range and running mechanics, which also increases a player’s ability to catch balls on the move. Teach the goalkeepers to tip the ball with the hand closest to the ball and to use the heel of the palm to tip the ball over the crossbar when possible. Master Ball - Can catch any Pokémon in one try, however the ball is very limited and was worth more when games had fewer legendary encounters. Place three mannequins, flags, or cones 1-3 yards outside of the penalty box. They should be placed parallel to the penalty box line with 5-7 yards between each one. See diagram for picture.

To perform the sinking line drive drill, a coach stands at home plate while outfielders stand in the outfield. Using a fungo bat, the coach will then hit line drives towards the outfielders that will land in front of the outfielders. The players can dive for the ball or wait for it to bounce and catch it. The Lure Ball cannot be used in situations in which Poké Balls cannot be used, such as in wild battles with two or more opponents currently present or against a trial Pokémon. If used in a Trainer battle, the opposing Trainer will bat the ball away, wasting the turn (as well as the ball prior to Generation IV).

The keeper will start on their knees in the center of the goal, the server will then bounce throw a soccer ball aiming for one of the corners. The coach will start with the first ball on the cone, 10 yards to the side of the goal, and drive a shot into the goalkeeper to catch.

When I was first taught to dive (and I split my chin during the second session), I felt like I hadn’t made any progress at all. Another essential skill that outfielders need is learning how to catch sinking fly balls. When a player has to catch a sinking ball, they have two options: they can dive and catch the ball as it’s falling, or they can field the ball on the bounce. Since the spider must breathe air, it constructs from silk a habitat like an open diving bell which it attaches to an underwater plant. The spider collects air in a thin layer around its body, trapped by dense hairs on its abdomen and legs. It transports this air to its diving bell to replenish the air supply in the bell. This allows the spider to remain in the bell for long periods, where it waits for its prey. Outfielders can use their glove to shade the sun or they can use their free hand, depending on what feels comfortable for the player.
