Both options are brightly coloured, with some really fun colour combinations, and you can also mix things up and use both flowers and easter eggs in the scene. I liked the height difference, which gives it a sense of dynamism, and also the generous use of tiles, and curved slopes to give it a smooth, wavy look. That and the use of 3 different shades of green give the base a pleasant pop of colour.

The eggs are colorful and lovely. One of them is topped with a pink opalescent dome that was new in 2021 and has only been in five sets previously. My youngest aptly described it as “whoa, that’s a cosmos piece”. The flowers are simple, with “tooth” petals, and very short stems. The proportions look a little odd, but a longer stem would have been very fragile without extra parts for reinforcement, so the decision is understandable. Easter Rabbits Display is a fantastic set for builders on a budget, or if you enjoy collecting LEGO’s annual seasonal themes, and is the front-runner for me so far. I really cannot wait to see what other animals we get this year! Some printed Easter Eggs would’ve been nice, but understand they need to keep prices accessible for these set If you’re looking for a fun seasonal LEGO set, and also enjoy building animal shapes and forms, this is the set for you. The added customisation of the scene is also another fun bonus, and this really is a great standalone set that oozes Easter cheer.Both rabbits are a delight to build and display, and I really appreciate the option to swap out the decorations, and customise it to your liking, which ultimately increases the replayability and utility of the set. This is quite a mediocre value compared to other seasonal sets increased such as the Lego Christmas sets which have seen over a 300% value increase. My 5 year old daughter helped put the set together for me, and didn’t need a lot of help. She really likes Easter (and Easter Eggs), so she was ecstatic to piece this set together. Celebrate the Easter season with this adorable LEGO® Easter Rabbits Display (40523) building kit. The set features a white bunny and a light brown bunny sitting together in a spring meadow. The 5 colourful Easter eggs and 3 tulips complete the scene and can be displayed however you choose. Discover the new-for-2022 transparent pink opalescent element included on 1 of the eggs for an extra sweet touch to delight LEGO fans. The bunnies in this set are absolute spot-on winners. The base is also attractive and solid. All together, though, it’s a bit busy. There really isn’t space to fit both bunnies and all of the accessories on the base at the same time, so you can mix-and-match which eggs and flowers you like best, but then you’re left with the question of what to do with the others. They will stand up on their own, but fall over (and roll!) extremely easily. A variety of curved and cheese slopes have been used to give the lagomorphs an organic appearance, and they both look suitably winsome. Despite their different stances they share the same head and hind leg design.Like the Valentine Lovebirds, 40523 Easter Rabbits is designed to be built as a group activity – there are 2 separate manuals, one for each rabbit, which makes this a really fun experience, if you like building with your spouse, partner, kids or friends. If you have the money to throw at it, I’d say go for it. But let’s just be truthful, there isn’t hype behind this enough for it to be something spectacular, and LEGO won’t adapt this series of sets too far beyond what it is now.

These are a follow up to 40522 Valentine Lovebirds which was released earlier this month, so for those of you who like collecting these small seasonal sets, let’s take a closer look at 40523 Easter Rabbits Display!You can place the rabbits on the singular stud, which allows for a very small degree of customisation as you can alter their position or rotate them slightly to mix up the angles, but I found that this wasn’t very effective at holding them in place, and they often popped out of place at the slightest nudge. You have 2 options to decorate the rabbit’s surroundings – a clutch of brightly coloured Easter Eggs, or 3 tulip-like flowers, blossoming in spring.
