In the midst of all this pop art excess, Miller tries to reassert the power of the superhero. But much is lost in both the messiness of an unfocused story and the years that recontextualized it in Miller’s career. Conceived in the wake of September 11th, Miller continues to a stab at American politics, pretty much in the same way he criticised the Reagan administration in DKR, which was released around the same time as Alan Moore’s graphic masterpiece Watchmen. However, while this sequel has interesting ideas of blending “American dictatorship” with comic-book villainy, i.e. Lex Luthor secretly controlling the country with a computer-generated US President, it’s sadly an almost incoherent mess. What Happened to the Mouse?: What happened to Mary Marvel? It was never revealed if she was rescued or not. Alfred Pennyworth, Wayne's trusted butler and assistant, now in his 80's. He dies of a stroke at the end of the book. Driving Question: No pun intended, but the New 52 version is cursed to have this constantly as his part in the Trinity of Sin, with various questions he will never be able to answer.

Atom—trapped inside a Petri dish for over two years, Ray Palmer is rescued by Carrie Kelley and becomes one of the first of the old superheroes to join Batman's rebellion. Immediate Self-Contradiction: Not exactly immediate, but in one issue, Batman calls Green Lantern a moron, then soon after says Green Lantern is a great man. He also laments revealing one of his safehouses to GL and dismisses it as no loss because he has so many, all in one thought balloon. The Dark Knight Rises: League of Shadows ( Bane, Talia al Ghul& Barsad) | Catwoman | John Daggett | Phillip Stryver | Ra's al Ghul | Scarecrow

Kal-El was later sent by his government to the South American country of Corto Maltese in support of the island nation's resistance against communist influence. In response to Superman's actions, the Soviet Union launched a nuclear warhead called Coldbringer into the United States. Superman manages to divert the missile to an uninhabited desert area before it detonates, but damage is done nonetheless as the warhead was designed to disrupt all electronics and communications in the Western Hemisphere as well as throw millions of tons of dust and debris into the atmosphere. Deprived of the sunlight that gives him his powers, Superman nearly dies, but somehow manages to use the solar energy stored in plant life to revive himself. [3] Author Avatar: It's pretty clear that this version of Batman is how Miller sees himself if he were Batman. Breaking Ultimate Universe News at New York Comic Con! I can not and will not recommend this one to anyone. There is a reason why this sequel was not included in The Complete Frank Miller Batman - Leather bound Hardcover Edition. It's that bad. No One Could Survive That!: Saturn Girl has a vision of Catgirl being murdered by the New Joker. Catgirl isn't too worried, as she shot the New Joker with several explosive arrows, and then went to work on him with a hatchet. It’s not to say that comic book Vic Sage doesn’t dwell into conspiracy theories. He is a detective after all. But it wouldn’t be until the New 52 and Detective Comics #1000 where the status of Sage being a conspiracy theorist was made canon in the comics. Always Someone Better: Zig-zagged between Vic and Batman. Batman has the title of the "World's Greatest Detective", but on several occasions, Vic has been argued as having better deductive and investigative skills than the Caped Crusader. It can be argued that Batman qualifies for having far greater resources at his disposal, thus enabling him to achieve much more, but Vic can hold his own in the sleuthing department without any of that stuff. So, this comes down to Depending on the Writer.

DC Entertainment Provides New Details For Dark Knight III: The Master Race". DC Comics. July 9, 2015 . Retrieved July 19, 2015.

Super-Breath: Superman is able to create hurricane force winds by exhaling air from his lungs. He can chill the air as it leaves his lungs to freeze targets. He can also reverse the process to pull large volumes of air or vapor into his lungs. In "Batman: The Dark Knight, Hunt the Dark Knight," the Joker appears on a stand-in for Late Night with David Letterman along with his psychiatrist, Dr. Bartholomew Wolper. The good doctor is convinced that Batman's fascism has caused the rise of crime in Gotham City, while Joker is but a victim of the Batman's actions. Having been catatonic while Batman was away, now that the Dark Knight has returned, the Joker is awake and playing into Wolper's beliefs. NOW I WILL TELL YOU EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS TO SAVE YOU THE PAIN OF READING THIS ABOMINATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The 2005 miniseries depicts Vic as an "urban shaman", who uses the binary gas to enter a trance that allows him to "speak" to cities, absorbing snippets of information and energy from around him. He even explains it by saying, "As the river and the mountain speak to the native, so, over time, did the living city whisper to me." Heat Vision: Superman can, as a conscious act, fire beams of intense heat at a target by looking at it. He can vary the heat and area affected.Batman Begins: League of Shadows ( Ra's al Ghul& Ra's Decoy) | Scarecrow | Falcone Crime Family ( Carmine Falcone, Victor Zsasz& Arnold Flass) | Joe Chill I need to go have a shower and a large course of antibiotics and burn my retinas out after this pile of shite. Mad Artist: Ditko did a story about a charlatan modern artist who hated uplifting and beautiful classic art, and dressed up as one of his own ugly, turd-like sculptures to become an art-vandalising costumed villain. Not to be confused with Scott Snyder's 2016 series All-Star Batman , which Snyder heavily emphasizes has nothing to do with this.

Batman: Year One: Batman | Gotham City Police Department ( Commissioner Loeb, Arnold John Flass& Howard Branden) | Falcone Crime Family ( Carmine Falcone& Johnny Viti) | Catwoman | Joker Renee Montoya made her film debut as a major character in Birds of Prey, played by Rosie Perez, though she doesn't assume the identity of the Question during it. Evil Has a Bad Sense of Humor: The Joker as is usual of him, but in a very marked difference it's the " no sense of humor" variation. La verdad me he divertido mucho y les pido una gran disculpa si peco de ignorante pero es mi primera vez en este tipo de lectura. Sin duda alguna me buscaré otro cómic (tal vez de otro género) porque quiero adentrarme más en este mundo! Telescopic Vision: This is the ability to see something at a great distance, without violating the laws of physics. Though limited, the exact extent of the ability is undetermined. In function, it is similar to the zoom lens on a camera.

Batman: Not one word. I've taken enough grief about calling my goddamn car the goddamn Batmobile. I'm the goddamn Batman and I can call my goddamn car whatever the hell I want to call it.
