There was far more hysterical screaming than there needed to be, especially for such an allegedly advanced and sophisticated teenager. One of the rare blemishes of the Lambert era. Region B release is a 3 disc set, and includes The Snowmen. US release is a 2 disc set, with The Snowmen released separately.

The Collection - Season 10 (BBCBD0528), Season 18 (BBCBD0529), and Season 23 (BBCBD0530) were re-released in 2021 with standard Blu-ray cases. All existing episodes from otherwise missing First Doctor serials have been released on the Lost in Time collection, with the exception of: Galaxy 4 episode 3, which was released as part of The Aztecs – Special Edition; The Reign of Terror which had its missing episodes animated for its individual DVD release; and The Tenth Planet which had its missing episode animated for its release as part of the Regeneration Box and individual DVD release. Lost in Time was released in two formats in Region 1, with individual releases for volumes one and two (which cover First Doctor and Second Doctor episodes respectively), as well as an edition combining both volumes. In Regions 2 and 4, Lost in Time is available only as the combined single volume. In Australia, the logo and cover text were reduced in size to accommodate the Australian age rating on the front cover. The Season 12 and 19 releases matched that of the UK Collectors Edition releases, minus the J-card, which was slightly different. Subsequent releases, starting with season 18, were put out in a slipcase style, with a grey sleeve replacing the interior card case, resulting in a loss of several pieces of artwork.Only available as part of the Myths and Legends box set in Regions 2 and 4. Let's Go Dutch!: The TARDIS crew travel to Amsterdam to revisit locations and reminisce about Season 20 and their time on the programme In a way, it’s almost the best of both worlds. We get to see episodes 1 and 3 with stunning performances by Bernard Kay (Saladin), Julian Glover (King Richard), and Jean Marsh (Princess Joanna), and the rest of the time, we spend with Ian. I believe Russell must have filmed his connecting scenes some time ago, because he appeared some 15 to 20 years younger than he is now. Seriously, I have no complaints; I enjoyed that they did this. For the 50th Anniversary Collector's Edition released the following year, The Day of the Doctor was presented in 2D only. However, BBC Worldwide kept the slowed down frame rate that had been necessary for the 3D release, resulting in the story being presented at 1080p24. Following complaints from buyers, a disc replacement programme was launched - allowing the disc containing the 'faulty' master to be exchanged for one that had been mastered at 1080i50. Distribution rights are split between two companies - Pandastorm Pictures (distributing stories featuring the Fourth through Eighth Doctors) and Polyband Media (distributing stories featuring the First through Third Doctors, as well as all modern-era stories).
