About this deal

All-in-all: while the original reason for the hype is weak (dupe), many have definitely, accurately designated Khamrah's worth. The fragrance can measure itself with scent and quality against a niche caliber juice and come out, if not on top, then certainly holding an award for “Best Middle Eastern Gourmand of 2022 with excellent marketing”. While Khamrah unfolds and follows different steps in the pyramid it's in many ways pretty linear. The first whiffs are a good indication of what you'll keep. You'll just get a tad more sweetness from the very edible heart and a vanilla-warm-woody base to have both a longer lasting effect and depth. That spicy cinnamonroll/gingerbread opening stays with you - though in a more subdued way. And here we finally leave Angels' Share By Kilian to continue on the date route of Khamrah Lattafa Perfumes. However, this is a separate big and painful topic, and now I want to explain how it happened that I undertook a review of a perfume that outwardly imitates the design of Angels' Share, and even a pyramid that seems to be trying to reach my favorite By Kilian fragrance. Takodje ovaj parfem po meni nije preporucljiv u koriscenju za sporta, niti za mladje skolarce, vec za izlazak navece ili poslovne sastanke .

Which brings me to the Fragrance of the Story: the much lauded, much hyped Lattafa -Khamrah. While it's officially an Arabic concoction considered the second coming of Angel's Share, a popular men's fragrance by Killian, most of us know it's only *loosely* inspired by the boozy apple pie juice. The bottle is duped. The scent? Meeeeh.

That base leans heavily on vanilla and the three woods; Mahogany from the heart, and Akigala + Amber woods on the bottom tier. Here and there the benzoin and myrrhe give it extra depth and warmth. I've often heard describe Khamrah as “boozy”, but I'm not getting any of that. Just like the apple pie has never entered my olfactory senses when wearing this chique Lattafa. Khamrah Lattafa Perfumes can also tell stories. For children, it's prepared tales about Aladdin, genies, magic, and flying carpets. For adults, it recites stories from One Thousand and One Nights, Nur-ad-din, the beautiful and brave Mariam, about the insidious courtiers, dangerous robbers and dizzying adventures... Like many of us, I don't like the idea of copying fragrances. Or rather, attempts to copy because really good copies do not exist. No imitation of a popular fragrance, whether it be Lost Cherry Tom Ford (which I think is the record holder for the number of imitations and fakes)or Angels' Share By Kilian, or La Vie Est Belle Lancôme, will smell as good as the original. It just won't smell the same. There can be no replacement and the quest to find a cheaper dupe is meaningless.

In Khamrah Lattafa Perfumes there are no alcohol notes at all, it smells of dates, and the date note in it is so strong and obvious that it can be compared with the date of Rouge Sarây Atelier des Ors and certainly exceeds the date of Aziyade Parfum d'Empire and Dates Delight The House of Oud. True, it cannot compete with the most date-like in the world Jardins de Misfah Une Nuit Nomade, which is the pinnacle of dateness, andcannot be surpassed. Khamrah is whatever you want it to be, but I assume most people'll wear this fragrance in the colder months of the year. It is also when it performs best, though I have worn it to bed in Fall and cooler Spring days. Khamrah Eau De Perfume by Lattafa Perfumes is a luxurious oriental-spicy unisex perfume that combines precious spices, the warmth of woody notes and the softness of vanilla. The fragrance is released by the Arab luxury perfume brand Lattafa Perfumes and comes in a luxurious crystal bottle. Even though the Angels didn't protest to sharing, Lattafa took its pyramid, extracted what they liked most, then doubled down on their own Middle Eastern twist and voila: a gorgeous brown liquid in beautiful bottle entered YouTube Frag-circles and everyone went a lil' cray-cray. (THX for that by the way. Not. I tested it júst after release, but had to wait for €€ to buy a full bottle. By the time I could, the hype had doubled the price here.

I would say that this perfume lasts so long on me, there has been times where I would be exercising after a long day and the perfume would still linger on my skin. It performs really well for me in warmer temperatures.

The Angels Share also smells very linear to me, while the Khamrah has a changing scent progression. Khamrah has a gingerbread meets cinnamon rolls kind of sweetness with a few extra delicious things thrown in. Which isn't strange considering the notes of cinnamon and nutmeg in the top.In the opening these two spices are strong and when they start to diminish a bit, the cinnamon never leaving completely, they get company from tuberose and milk chocolate covered dates. Yum! For me, it's a kind of spicy woodiness that reminds me of rotten/moldy wood, but in a very synthetic way. Quite badly this was with the Guidance I really did not bear at all. First, Khamrah Lattafa Perfumes is not a copy of Angels' Share By Kilian and cannot replace it. Even if you don't like Angels' Share, you may well have fond feelings for Khamrah because it's so different. I found myself using Khamrah regularly on those days when I especially crave comfort and serenity, alternating it with two other fragrances of personal pleasure: Dolcelisir L'Erbolario and Eau Lente Diptyque, about whichsomeday I will certainly write, although this is not a new fragrance.

And that's when I realized that I needed to say something about Khamrah Lattafa Perfumes, despite the bottle, despite the attempt to imitate another perfume, all the more strange because Khamrah is quite original and attractive precisely because of its originality. Khamrah doesn't make as much of a statement as most Arabian perfumes, but it's impossible to miss. And, of course, it is very strong and long lasting. Note: Qahwa, an Arabic word meaning coffee, symbolizes not just a beverage but a tradition of warmth, hospitality, and togetherness. Khamrah Qahwa captures this essence in a bottle, allowing you to carry the spirit of Qahwa with you, no matter where life’s journey takes you. Vanilla appears, bitter and strict, and then bitter-powdery tonka beans and salty-sweet myrrh follow. The fragrance opens on the sparkling, citrusy notes of bergamot, warmed by the spicy presence of cinnamon and nutmeg. Heart of the fragrance is the intense sweetness of dates that twists around the heady nuances of lily of the valley, the sensual ones of tuberose and the delicious notes of pralines. On the skin, the olfactory notes of toasted Tonka beans, vanilla, myrrh and amber wood will finally gently settle. Spicy FragrancesWhich begs the question: is it really worth it? Sadly, quite often a hype is nothing more than every social media channel copying someone else to stay somewhat relevant. So, am I bravely fighting the label-posse for naught? The performance on this, is mind blowing. Put this on my arm, an hour later, I took a nap and woke up 2 hours later and was like “Jeez, what’s this beautiful aroma?”, then I realized I sprayed Khamrah... and lo and behold, it was just as if I was just spraying it. It’s just too strong and loud. I just got it and It’s been 5-6 hours now and it’s still loud. A note of hazelnuts unfolds, and Khamrah smells exactly like the Iranian delicacy "ranginak": dates stuffed with nuts and rolled in toasted flour with cinnamon, cardamom and pistachios.
